Position:

HAR Painters is seeking a skilled full-time Painter to paint the interior and exterior of structures, buildings, houses, and other surfaces. Your job will be important as good painting has both practical and aesthetic benefits.

An excellent painter is knowledgeable in selecting the right material for their job. They have experience in painting with various tools, heights, and spaces while observing all safety measures. They must be reliable and deft as well as possess great attention to detail in completing their duties.

The goal is to deliver high-quality painting work.

Skills and Experience:

1. Setting up scaffolding and ladders and laying down protective drop sheets to prevent paint splatter.
2. Creating surfaces by stripping old paint and wallpaper, repairing woodwork,



filling in holes and cracks, and smoothing and sealing surfaces.
3. Choosing and mixing paints to the desired colors by blending pigment, oil, and thinning and drying agents.
4. Applying paints, varnishes, and stains to surfaces using brushes, rollers, and sprayers.
5. Installing wallpaper, aligning patterns, and trimming edges.
6. Cleaning tools and work areas.
7. Potentially fixing windows and replacing glass in wooden and metal frames.
8. Calculate costs and negotiate prices.
9. Read blueprints/instructions and examine surfaces to determine the kind and amount of work necessary.
10. Identification, safe handling and appropriate disposal of paints, stains, preparatory and undercoating materials, and other hazardous materials.

Qualification:

At least 3 years of relevant experience required

Remuneration:

Successful candidates will be paid a salary of $75,000 to $85,000 plus superannuation.
