About Us

Kernow has been at the forefront of the Immunisation and Environmental Health industries in Victoria for over 30 years. With more than 100 staff across metro and rural Councils, we have a large Immunisation nurse and administration team. Our team has significant expertise and are respected leaders in the field. We have long standing relationships with a number of large and small councils in metro and rural Victoria.

The Roles

Part of a team of skilled and experienced part time and casual immunisation nurses, you will be reporting to the Immunisation Nurse Co-ordinator and work out of our Brimbank location with opportunities to work at nearby locations or other immunisation opportunities that arise.

You will be assisting in the implementation of professional immunisation services at infant and school immunisation sessions across Brimbank. You will be available to work a combination of day and evening sessions. There is flexibility regarding number of hours, times and days of the week.

About You

- Current AHPRA Registered Nurse, Division 1;
- Qualified Nurse Immuniser from a Department of Health Victoria approved course (Nurse immuniser study programs | health.vic.gov.au);




- Demonstrated experience and sound understanding of the National Immunisation Program;
- Demonstrated strong knowledge and experience related to vaccinating children under the age of 5 years;
- Current and valid WWC, police check, and Victorian driver's licence;
- Evidence of up to date yearly Immunisation Emergency management certificate that includes CPR and anaphylaxis training.

Further to the above, and highly regarded:

- Experience working within Council immunisation programs;
- Excellent clinical nursing skills and decision‑making skills;
- Demonstrated excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills, especially when working with families;
- Highly collaborative with proven experience working successfully as part of a team;
- Basic to intermediate computer skills.
