Qualified Diesel Mechanic – Workshop & Field Service

JV Hire Group, working alongside JV Mechanical, is a small, dynamic business servicing trucks, trailers, buses, and earthmoving machinery across Melbourne. Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our team in a full time role, based in both our workshop and field service.

About the Role

- Carry out servicing, diagnostics, and repairs on a wide range of heavy vehicles and machinery
- Workshop-based and field service work across Melbourne
- Work independently and as part of a close-knit team
- Complete job documentation accurately and on time

About You

Qualifications

- Certificate III in Heavy Vehicle Mechanics or equivalent
- Minimum 2 years’ post-trade experience
- Current driver’s licence
- HR/HC licence (advantageous but not essential)

- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills




- Basic electrical diagnostics and wiring knowledge
- Reliable, motivated, and eager to learn
- Good communication skills
- Comfortable using tablets and basic computer systems
- Willing to take on leadership responsibilities as required
- Takes pride in quality work and a clean, safe workplace
