Remington Steel is seeking an experienced Account Manager to join our dynamic sales team. This is a full time position based in our Derrimut, VIC office. As an Account Manager, you will be responsible for managing and developing key client relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring customer satisfaction and retention. This role is strategically important to Remington Steel as it directly contributes to revenue growth and long-term business success by maintaining strong partnerships with our valued clients.

Key responsibilities

- Manage and nurture existing client relationships, ensuring consistent communication and service excellence
- Develop and implement account strategies to increase sales revenue and market share within assigned territories or accounts
- Identify new business opportunities and prospects through research, networking and referrals
- Prepare and deliver compelling proposals and presentations to prospective and existing clients
- Negotiate contracts and pricing to achieve mutually beneficial agreements whilst maintaining profitability
- Collaborate with internal teams, including production, logistics and finance, to ensure seamless service delivery
- Monitor account performance and provide regular reporting on sales activity, pipeline development and revenue forecasting
- Address client concerns and complaints promptly, resolving issues to maintain satisfaction and trust
- Attend industry events and trade shows to promote Remington Steel and generate leads
- Stay informed of industry trends, competitor activity and market conditions to inform strategic decisions

What we're looking for

- 2-5 years of proven experience in account management or sales within a B2B environment, ideally in the steel, manufacturing or industrial sector
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain professional relationships at all levels




- Demonstrated track record of achieving or exceeding sales targets and revenue goals
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
- Excellent negotiation and problem-solving skills with a focus on finding win-win solutions
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organisational and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously
- Knowledge of steel products, specifications and industry standards is highly desirable
- Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel for client meetings and site visits
- A strategic mindset with the ability to identify growth opportunities and develop long-term account plans
