Breakwater Marina is seeking an experienced and motivated Senior Marina Attendant to join our team in Townsville.

This is not your average maintenance role. We are looking for a hands-on leader who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in maintaining high standards, and is passionate about delivering exceptional customer experiences.

As a senior member of our Marina Team, you will play a key role in supervising Marina Attendants, coordinating maintenance and refurbishment projects, assisting with budget planning, and ensuring our marina remains one of North Queensland's premier boating destinations.

Working closely with the Marina Manager and broader team, you will lead by example, support operational staff, and help drive continuous improvements across the property.

About the Role

Your responsibilities will include:

- Supervising and mentoring Marina Attendants and contractors
- Planning, coordinating and monitoring maintenance and refurbishment programs
- Assisting with project planning, budgeting and procurement
- Maintaining marina infrastructure, buildings, grounds and facilities
- Conducting inspections and ensuring compliance with safety and environmental requirements
- Assisting vessels with berthing, refuelling and marina services
- Operating marina workboats and equipment
- Delivering outstanding customer service to marina tenants and visiting guests
- Maintaining accurate maintenance, safety and operational records




- Working collaboratively with management to identify opportunities for property improvements and service enhancements

About You

To be successful in this role you will demonstrate:

- Solid leadership and supervisory experience
- Practical maintenance and handyman skills
- Excellent organisational and planning abilities
- Experience coordinating projects, contractors or maintenance programs
- Confidence using computers, mobile devices and software systems
- Outstanding communication and customer service skills
- A proactive, solutions-focused attitude
- The ability to work independently and as part of a close-knit team
- A commitment to safety, professionalism and attention to detail
- Current Driver's Licence
- Current Boat Licence (or ability to obtain)
- Experience in maintenance, facilities management, construction, marine operations or a similar field
- Ability to work outdoors in a physically active environment
