Tropic Petroleum are seeking the service of suitably qualified Fuel tanker truck driver on aFull-time basis to join their team at their Townsville based Depot.
Tropic Petroleum (Tropic) has been distributing fuel in North Queensland since the Company’s incorporation in 1968. Tropic is the only independent family owned petroleum distribution company left in North Queensland. Tropic is the authorised Ampol Distributor for North Queensland and as such we have guaranteed supply of high quality fuels and lubricants.
Qualifications & experience
- HC licence
- Previous experience as a truck driver; fuel experience preferred but not essential
- Bulk Dangerous Goods licence preferred
- Attention to detail and the ability complete all required paperwork
- Valuable customer service and communication skills
- Previous experience with Fatigue Management desirable
Tasks & responsibilities
- Completing daily pre-start checks on vehicles and equipment
- Complete log book and fatigue management procedures
- Follow instructions from schedulers for daily duties, trip sheets and time-frames
- Develop positive relationships with customers
- Loading, transportation and delivery of fuels
- Ensure safety and compliance is adhered to at all times
