Our client AMD Fire Protection is a leading provider of fire protection systems, offering end-to-end services including testing, installation, maintenance, sales, and advisory, with a focus on excellence and reliability and a strong commitment to quality and customer service.
The role
They are currently looking for an experienced Fire Technician to join their team. This is a full-time position and will be working across both residential and commercial clients.
Day to day duties include:
Attend scheduled client sites across Sydney and NSW to carry out fire protection works
Perform routine inspection, testing, and maintenance of fire systems in accordance with AS 1851
Test and service fire detection, emergency & exit lighting, extinguishers, hose reels, hydrants, and sprinkler systems
Identify defects, faults, and non-compliances and report findings clearly
Complete service reports, test sheets, and compliance documentation accurately and on time
Liaise professionally with site contacts, building managers, and tenants
Maintain tools,
equipment, and company vehicle in secure, clean working condition
Experience required
Experience inspecting and testing a range of Fire Equipmentto the required Australian standards, more specifically Monthly, 6 monthly and Annual testing of wet and dry fire systems.
Current Inspect & Test licence, or willingness to obtain required licences and complete future training.
Hold a current and valid Australian driver’s licence.
A sound understanding of AS 1851 (Routine service of fire protection systems and equipment).
The successful candidate will need to be reliable, hard-working, and a hands-on individual who possess a problem-solving mindset.
