Job Description
D & K AGLAND PTY LTD D & K AGLAND PTY LTD trading as “Occupational Therapy Plus” is a privately owned occupational therapy practice based in Orange, NSW. Multiple Occupational Therapist postions available. The Occupational Therapist is responsible for delivering high-quality, client-centred occupational therapy services to adults living in the community.
Working with the support of experienced clinicians, this role provides assessment, intervention, assistive technology prescription, home modification recommendations and functional capacity assessment to maximise clients' independence, safety and quality of life. This position is designed for an early career occupational therapist and includes structured supervision, mentoring and professional development to support the transition to confident, independent community practice.

Task & responsibilities
- Clinical Practice: Conduct occupational therapy assessments within clients' homes and community environments.
- Assess functional capacity, activities of daily living, cognition, mobility and environmental barriers. Develop person-centred intervention plans in collaboration with clients and their support networks. Deliver evidence-based occupational therapy interventions.
- Prescribe assistive technology and equipment appropriate to client needs. Complete minor home modification assessments and contribute to more complex home modification projects under supervision. Monitor client progress and review intervention outcomes.
- Documentation and Reporting: Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation. Prepare professional reports to support NDIS, aged care and private funding requirements. Complete documentation in accordance with legislative, professional and organisational requirements.
- Communication and Collaboration: Develop positive working relationships with clients, families and carers. Liaise with general practitioners, allied health professionals, support coordinators, builders, equipment suppliers and other stakeholders. Participate in multidisciplinary case discussions where appropriate.
- Work collaboratively with the OT Plus team to ensure high-quality client outcomes. Professional Practice: Participate in regular clinical supervision and mentoring. Maintain AHPRA registration and Continuing Professional Development requirements.
- Participate in internal education sessions, quality improvement activities and team meetings. Comply with organisational policies, professional standards and workplace health and safety requirements.
Qualification & experience
- Essential Selection Criteria: Bachelor or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy.
- Current registration (or eligibility for registration) with AHPRA.
- Current unrestricted Australian Driver Licence.
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain).
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain).
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Robust organisational and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently while contributing positively to a team environment.
- Commitment to person-centred, evidence-based occupational therapy.
Desirable Criteria
- Experience or student placement within community occupational therapy.
- Knowledge of the NDIS and/or Australian aged care system.
- Experience with assistive technology or home modifications.
- Membership of Occupational Therapy Australia.
