About the Role

Waverley provides meaningful employment opportunities for people with disability. We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Support Mentor to join our team and play an important role in supporting our Supported workmates to build confidence, develop skills, and achieve their individual employment goals.

As a Support Mentor, you will work alongside our Supported Workmates on the production floor, providing guidance, encouragement, training, and ongoing support to help them succeed in their roles.

You will see firsthand the impact of the work we do, supporting our Supported Workmates as they complete important customer projects, including packing and production activities for some of our valued customers.

This is a rewarding role where you will build strong relationships, celebrate achievements, and help create an inclusive workplace where everyone has the opportunity to contribute and grow.

You will be responsible for activities including:

- Developing, implementing, and monitoring Individual Employment Plans in collaboration with Supported Employees, Care Teams, and internal and external stakeholders.
- Providing day-to-day mentoring, coaching, and support to Supported Employees on the production floor.




- Working alongside Production Supervisors to identify opportunities for skill development, address barriers, and support successful employment outcomes.
- Building robust relationships with Supported Workmates, families, care teams, and stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Coordinating and delivering training and support services that meet individual and organisational goals.
- Supporting Supported Workmates to achieve their employment goals through appropriate workplace training, guidance, and encouragement.

To be considered for this role you must possess the following:

- NDIS Screening Check or willingness to obtain one.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships.

- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while also working independently.
- Strong organisation and time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines and key performance indicators.
- Certificate III in Disability, Community Services, Individual Support, or equivalent relevant experience.
- Strong problem-solving skills and initiative.
- Ability to work effectively with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of the NDIS framework is desirable.
