As the company develops its trading operations in Australia, you will be instrumental in setting up the trading desk, formulating trading strategies, creating risk management frameworks, and guiding the business's commercial trajectory from the outset.

What you'll do

- Establish and manage the trading desk operations, ensuring efficient execution of trades.
- Develop and implement trading strategies that align with market trends and business objectives.
- Create and maintain risk management frameworks to mitigate trading risks effectively.
- Analyze market data to inform trading decisions and optimize portfolio performance.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support the overall growth of the trading platform.

Requirements





- A minimum of 5 years of experience in energy trading or a related field.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or a similar discipline.
- Robust understanding of energy markets and trading mechanisms.
- Proven ability to develop and execute trading strategies.
- Excellent analytical skills and proficiency in data analysis tools.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively within a team.

Nice to have

- Experience in renewable energy trading or battery storage markets.
- Advanced degree (Master's or higher) in a relevant field.
- Familiarity with trading software and risk management systems.

Skills & tools

- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and other data analysis software.
- Knowledge of trading platforms and market analysis tools.
- Familiarity with risk management frameworks and methodologies.
