Are you passionate about empowering young people with disabilities to achieve their goals and gain independence? In this rewarding role, you will support, advocate for, and mentor young people, ensuring they have access to flexible and meaningful opportunities that help them thrive in their personal and professional lives.

Gre8 Capable Me is a NDIS-registered service provider and we are seeking a dedicated Youth Mentor to join our School Leaver Employment Support (SLES) Program in Dandenong, 2-3 days per week (Casual).

In this rewarding role, you will support, advocate for, and mentor young people, ensuring they have access to flexible and meaningful opportunities that help them thrive in their personal and professional lives.

As a Youth Mentor, you will:

Deliver engaging and practical SLES programs, helping participants build confidence and independence.

Support young people in developing life skills, such as using public transport, attending community events, and exploring employment pathways through voluntary work placements.

Foster meaningful connections within the community to enhance social and employment opportunities.

Work collaboratively within a supportive team, using strong communication and time management skills to empower participants.

What We're Looking For

To excel in this role, you should bring:





Candidates with any level of experience working with young people with disabilities will be considered, including professional, volunteer, or personal experiences.

A robust understanding of disability and its impact on social relationships, daily living, and employment opportunities.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster an inclusive and supportive environment.

The ability to identify and organize resources effectively to best support participants.

A team-oriented mindset, collaborating with others to deliver high-quality programs.

A current driver's license and access to reliable transport.

Additional Requirements

The successful candidate must have the legal right to work in Australia and will need to obtain:

A Working with Children Check

An NDIS Screening Clearance

A current forklift licence is preferred; however, applicants who are willing to obtain one are also encouraged to apply.
