Oversee the Operational Excellence Program and Food Safety Audit performance across the IGA network, including OEP Silver minimum and FSA 85% minimum compliance

Oversee retailer growth and sustainability initiatives,

Coordinate support across Member Services, Development, Merchandise, IT, Finance, SIW and Metcash to deliver one aligned TIR support function

Support the CEO with clear advice on member issues, network risks, development opportunities and matters requiring Board consideration

Use reporting, dashboards and field intelligence to identify trends, emerging risks and opportunities to improve member outcomes

Build trusted relationships with independent retailers, maintaining appropriate confidentiality and professional neutrality

Contribute to and manage budgets relevant to the Member Services and Development functions

About You:

Strong understanding of independent retail, supermarket operations and member-based business models

Demonstrated ability to lead field-based teams and technical support functions

Commercial judgement and the ability to balance member support, brand protection, risk management and practical business outcomes

Financial acumen, including budget management and reporting, and strategic planning skills at a leadership-team level

Strong relationship skills, including listening, discretion,

confidentiality and qualified neutrality

Strong understanding of business development principles, with the ability to lead by example and mentor others in this space

Ability to interpret operational data, audit results and dashboard trends to guide action

Project coordination capability, particularly in store development, renovations, signage or retail improvement activity

Clear written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to brief the CEO and prepare decision-ready information

Strong, proven leadership skills
