What you'll do

- Lead the creation and execution of comprehensive environmental evaluation strategies and reporting frameworks that meet departmental goals.
- Engage with various stakeholders, including government agencies and community organizations, to ensure environmental assessments are relevant and actionable.
- Analyze data and prepare reports that provide insights into environmental conditions and trends, supporting informed decision-making.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate environmental evaluation findings into policy development and program planning.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of environmental programs, making recommendations for improvements based on data analysis.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings to communicate findings and gather feedback from stakeholders, fostering cooperative approaches to environmental management.




- Ensure compliance with relevant environmental legislation and regulations throughout the evaluation and reporting processes.
- Stay updated on emerging trends and best practices in environmental evaluation and reporting to enhance departmental capabilities.

Requirements

- A bachelor's degree in environmental science, environmental policy, or a related discipline is required.
- At least 5 years of experience in program management or a comparable role within the environmental sector is essential.
- Demonstrated ability to juggle multiple projects while adhering to deadlines and maintaining high-quality standards.
- Strong analytical capabilities with a keen focus on interpreting data and translating it into actionable insights.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring thoroughness in all aspects of program management.
- Proven track record of effective communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex information clearly to diverse audiences.

Nice to have

- Previous experience in stakeholder engagement and management, particularly within governmental or non-profit sectors.
- Familiarity with environmental legislation, regulatory frameworks, and compliance requirements relevant to the role.




- Knowledge of sustainability practices and their application in program management would be advantageous.
