About the Role
As a Mechanical Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Preventative and corrective maintenance
- Mechanical breakdown repairs
- Fault finding and troubleshooting
- Installation, overhaul and commissioning of mechanical equipment
- Pump, valve, gearbox and rotating equipment maintenance
- Reading technical drawings and maintenance documentation
- Completing work orders and maintenance records
- Working safely in accordance with company procedures and industry standards
About You
To be successful you will have:
- Trade qualification in Mechanical Fitting, Fitter & Turner, Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
- Current Australian Trade Certificate
- Demonstrated experience in industrial maintenanceStrong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication skills
- Current Australian Driver's Licence
- Commitment to workplace health and safety
Desirable
- Experience within water, wastewater, manufacturing or heavy industry
- Confined Space and Working at Heights
- EWP, Forklift or Dogging licences
- Experience using CMMS systems such as Maximo
- First Aid certification
