Do you like plants and working in a semi-rural setting?
We are a family owned, busy wholesale plant distribution business, located in Sydney's north west Hills District.
We are seeking energetic and physically fit team members to join our busy nursery dispatch crew. We aim to provide a supportive and rewarding work environment, where initiative and development are encouraged.
This position does not involve propagation, plant maintenance or direct customer service but since we supply plants to one of Australia's largest retailers and numerous independent nurseries across NSW and the ACT, a good eye for detail and quality is definitely beneficial.
Whilst a keen interest in plants is a plus, it is not essential as this position is in our distribution hub where we provide all of the training and support you need to get the job done.
What you will be doing:
Picking orders from around the nursery using an electric buggy pulling trailers
And/or detailing and packing plants on our dock and loading trolleys for dispatch to customers
Maybe some stock maintenance or other general nursery duties from time to time

What we need from you:
Reliability! We are a small, busy team and we need reliable team members.
Flexibility! We open at 7am, but finish time is dependent upon workload each day. During our busy spring/summer season we will need you to be available for overtime, occasionally into the early evening. Please confirm your availability in your application .
Physical fitness. The work can be physically challenging - on your feet and lots of lifting, bending and carrying - you can cancel your gym membership!
Willingness to work outdoors regardless of the weather. Our stock is in high demand so we need to pick and pack in all conditions.
Ability to start at 7.00am
Your own reliable transportation. Public transport is very limited in this area and generally does not work well for 7am starts. Please confirm in your application
