General Role Description

The role of the Site Manager – VIC is to oversee the day-to-day operations of the Melbourne facility. The Branch Manager is responsible for the overall performance of the Victorian branch, including warehouse operations, customer service, inventory management, staff leadership and branch profitability via direct and indirect managerial lines.

This is a hands-on leadership position that requires someone equally comfortable managing people, improving operational efficiency, building customer relationships and supporting the sales team. The primary functions of the role is to ensure safety, operational efficiencies, customer service and meeting and exceeding of financial targets for the Victorian operation.

The role holder is also expected to participate in sales activities to drive revenue growth.

Responsibilities

- Managing the day-to-day operations of the Melbourne warehouse and branch facility including administration, office operations and maintenance of site and equipment




- Ensuring productive warehouse operations including receiving, storage, inventory management, picking, dispatch, and freight coordination
- Coordinating with Sales, Customer Care and other internal departments to ensure continuity of supply and service
- Ensuring company systems, records, reporting, and documentation are maintained accurately and in a timely manner
- Strategic planning with the Executive Leadership Team (ELT) members
- Ownership of the regional P&L;, ensuring VIC financial performance is achieved
- Leadership and Management (direct and indirect) of Victorian based team members
- Management of operational needs (stock etc.) for the region, liaising with procurement departments
- Supporting and contributing to regional sales growth and customer relationship development
- Maintaining strong relationships with key customers, distributors, contractors, consultants, and industry stakeholders
- Assisting with project opportunities, quotations, customer meetings, and sales activities where required
- Working collaboratively with the national sales team to support business development initiatives in Victoria
- Monthly reporting of all relevant activities, regional market activity, competitor activity, and customer trends
- Ad-hoc duties as required
- Following the company’s Work Health and Safety and Quality policies and procedures and being proactive in ensuring a safe and healthy worksite for yourself and others
