About the role
EBOS is seeking to recruit a Legal Counsel into a diverse role, reflecting a company that is growing and innovating. Engaging regularly with the Executive and senior business stakeholders, you will join a close knit in-house legal team that works collaboratively to provide a responsive and effective legal service across the business.
The Legal Counsel is responsible for providing legal support and advice to the Symbion & Healthcare Distribution and Retail Pharmacy Brands businesses across Australia and New Zealand, including well known businesses such as TerryWhite Chemmart and Symbion. Reporting to the Head of Legal – Healthcare, the role works closely with senior members of the legal team and business units to deliver practical,
commercial legal advice across a wide range of matters while taking ownership of day-to-day work.
The role provides strong development opportunities, including mentorship from senior lawyers and exposure to complex and strategic matters within highly regulated healthcare and pharmacy distribution environments.
You will provide broad, strategic commercial law advice, including in relation to:
- Contracts
- Consumer and competition law
- IP & IT/digital matters
- Advertising and marketing
- Legal aspects of distribution and logistics
- Regulatory, and
- Brand management.
About you
The ideal candidate offers quality post qualification experience of 3-4 years in commercial law. You are an independent individual who enjoys a high-level of responsibility and autonomy and brings a commercial outlook. This is a fast-faced commercial environment so the role suits a lawyer with outstanding interpersonal skills, a “can do” approach and the ability to juggle a range of priorities.
Those with healthcare or FMCG experience will suit the role well, but our client is open to considering candidates from a range of industries and backgrounds.
