About the role

We are collaborating with a prominent financial services company to find a Senior Software Engineer to join a skilled technology team focused on creating creative solutions at scale. This is a 12-month contract position located in Melbourne, providing a competitive daily rate and the opportunity to engage in advanced AI and cloud-native projects. As a senior engineer, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and maintenance of highly scalable microservices.

What you’ll do

- Design and implement scalable microservices to support various applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.

Requirements

- Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development.
- Proficiency in Java and Spring Boot for backend development.
- Experience with cloud platforms, preferably AWS or Azure.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture and design patterns.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Excellent problem‑solving skills and ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
