We are seeking an experiencedCustody Transitions Managerto join our client on a full-time basis. This is a pivotal position based inWellington, Current Zealand, where you will oversee and manage complex custody transition projects. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating the smooth handover of systems, data, and operational responsibilities between organisations, ensuring minimal disruption and maintaining the highest standards of data integrity and security throughout the transition process.

This position sits within our Programme and Project Management practice and offers the opportunity to make a tangible impact on significant organisational change initiatives. You will work strategically to align technical requirements with business objectives, making this role essential to our clients’ success.

Key responsibilities

- Plan, coordinate and oversee end-to-end custody transition projects, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and within scope
- Manage stakeholder engagement and communication across multiple teams, departments and external partners throughout the transition lifecycle
- Develop comprehensive transition strategies, including detailed project plans, risk assessments and mitigation approaches
- Monitor data integrity and security protocols during the transfer of systems and custodial responsibilities
- Identify,



assess and manage project risks, implementing contingency measures as needed
- Lead cross-functional teams to resolve technical and operational challenges during transition phases
- Maintain detailed project documentation and produce regular status reports for senior stakeholders
- Conduct post-transition reviews to identify lessons learned and opportunities for continuous improvement
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational policies throughout the transition process

Specific Qualifications Required

- Proven experience managing complex programme and project initiatives, particularly in custody, data management or technology transitions
- Approximately 8+ years in Financial Services, with specific technical knowledge of fund accounting and unit pricing, investment administration, custody operations.
- Preferred 3+ years in a direct Implementation / Transition Management or similar role, with a proven track record.
- Demonstrated capability in project / implementation management (either as an SME or full planning capacity), sound analytical ability and strong stakeholder management.
- Degree qualified in Business, Accounting or a related discipline; or substantial industry experience in a like role.
