About the Role

As the NSW Field Supervisor, your primary responsibility will be to ensure the safety, compliance and performance of all subcontractors operating within your designated region.

You will play a critical role in maintaining our commitment to a zero-harm workplace by promoting and enforcing The Electrical Co Australia's and our clients' safety procedures, quality standards and operational requirements.

Through live and post-work audits, you will verify that work is completed safely, compliantly and to the highest standard while supporting contractors to achieve key performance indicators.

Working closely with fellow TECA supervisors and the wider Operations Team, you will provide technical guidance, mentor technicians, manage operational escalations and promote a culture of accountability, safety and continuous improvement.

This role involves regular travel throughout your allocated region, including occasional overnight stays where operationally required.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead, coach and mentor subcontractor technicians across your allocated region.

- Promote and maintain a strong safety-first culture.

- Conduct live and post-work field audits to ensure compliance with TECA and client requirements.

- Monitor contractor performance, quality outcomes and key performance indicators.

- Manage work orders, contractor capacity and workload across your region.

- Provide technical support and operational guidance to field technicians.

- Coordinate urgent works, field escalations and short-notice job reallocations.





- Conduct buddy training and competency assessments for newly onboarded contractors.

- Investigate Quality Assurance findings and assist with corrective actions.

- Attend weekly and monthly client meetings, representing The Electrical Co Australia professionally.

- Complete installations where operationally required to maintain service delivery.

- Manage stock distribution and asset transfers.

- Proactively communicate operational risks and field issues to the Operations Team.

- Build strong relationships with contractors, clients and internal stakeholders.

About You

To be successful in this role, you'll be a confident leader who leads by example and is passionate about safety, quality and developing people.

You’ll also bring:

- A Grade Electrical License.

- NSW ASP Level 2 (2D) Accreditation (minimum).

- Current NSW Electrical License.

- Minimum three years' Smart Metering experience.

- Previous leadership or supervisory experience.

- Strong understanding of NSW SIRs, MIRs and network requirements.

- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.

- Robust organisational and problem-solving abilities.

- The ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

- A proactive and self-motivated approach to work.

- A strong commitment to workplace health and safety.

- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.

- Australian citizenship or permanent residency.
