As a Material Cutter & Guillotine Operator at Abbey Manufacturing Group Pty Ltd, you'll play a vital role in supporting the production of a range of custom made ring binders, folders, presentation boxes, wallets, pockets and associated products. This full-time position is based in Smithfield, NSW and involves the operation of cutting equipment to prepare materials for further processing.
What you'll be doing
- Cutting and trimming materials such as plastic film, cardboard, paper and cloth using a guillotine and other cutting equipment
- Ensuring materials are cut accurately and efficiently to meet production requirements
- Training on new machinery and equipment used in cutting and finishing.
- Collaborating with the production team to optimise workflows and minimise waste.
- Maintaining a safe and organised work environment.
What we're looking for
- Previous experience as a material cutter or Polar guillotine operator , ideally within a printing or manufacturing environment.
- Minimum of 6-12 months experience as a material cutter or guillotine operator is required.
- Printing or manufacturing industry experience is preferred, however other cutting experience will be considered.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Good problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
- Commitment to safety and quality standards
- Must have valid Australian work rights or visa to work in Australia.
