Wulguru Group is seeking a skilled Vehicle Spray Painter to join their team in their Townsville workshop.
The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and painting a variety of industrial vehicles and equipment, ensuring high-quality finishes that meet client specifications.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Prepare vehicle surfaces by sanding, masking, cleaning, and applying primer as required.
Mix and match paints to achieve precise color accuracy, adhering to client or manufacturer specifications.
Apply paint using various techniques, including spray guns, ensuring a smooth and flawless finish.
Perform touch-ups and repairs to maintain the aesthetic and quality of vehicle surfaces.
Inspect completed work for quality control, ensuring a professional and long-lasting finish.
Utilise specialised tools and equipment, maintaining them in excellent working condition.
Follow all safety procedures,



including proper handling and disposal of hazardous materials.
Keep accurate records of materials used and work completed for future reference.
Stay informed about the latest advancements in painting techniques, tools, and materials.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to workplace health and safety standards.
Requirements:
Relevant trade qualifications: Certificate III in Automotive Refinishing Technology or equivalent.
Proven experience in automotive painting, including surface preparation and spray painting.
Strong understanding of paint mixing, matching, and application techniques.
You may be required to undergo a Medical and Drug & Alcohol test.
