The Chance

We're looking for a Product Design Lead to help shape what Vuly builds next, working directly with the CEO on new product concepts and category opportunities.

The mandate is broad: turn market insight and play trends into product concepts that are genuinely ready to be engineered, tooled and shipped.

The Role in Practice

Vuly's product range spans trampolines, swing sets, cubbies and next-generation play - physical, digital and everything in between. You'll shape concepts at the front end of that pipeline, partnering with:

A dedicated DFM specialist in Malaysia

A shared services group of plastics engineers, toolmakers and safety specialists across Kuala Lumpur and China

Your job is to make sure every concept that leaves your desk is desirable, differentiated and buildable - not just good in a render.

What You'll Do

Generate and pressure-test new product concepts, from customer insight through to early prototypes

Partner with the CEO on category strategy and where Vuly plays next

Translate concepts into design briefs that engineering, DFM and tooling teams can execute against

Champion the customer experience - unboxing, assembly, first use - not just the object itself

Stay close to play, outdoor and consumer product trends to keep Vuly's range differentiated





Prototype quickly, using both physical and digital tools, to test ideas before committing to tooling

Work with marketing and commercial teams to make sure design supports the product story

How This Role Works

This is a front-end, ideas-first role. Expect close, regular collaboration with the CEO on direction, concepts and category bets - more back-and-forth than a typical design leadership role. Once a concept is validated, it's handed to the engineering and DFM teams for delivery.

Success is measured by the strength and hit-rate of what makes it to market - concepts that resonate with customers and translate cleanly into production.

What We're Looking For

5+ years' experience in product, industrial or consumer design, ideally including physical products

A strong portfolio of concepts that made it from idea to shelf, not just renders

Genuine curiosity about customers, play and outdoor culture

Comfort presenting and defending ideas directly to senior leadership

Working knowledge of how physical products get manufactured - enough to design within real plastics and tooling constraints

Proficiency in CAD and prototyping tools (SolidWorks, Fusion 360, Rhino or similar)

Strong storytelling and visual communication skills

Comfort with ambiguity - this role creates the brief, it doesn't just execute one
