Critical Care & ICU Nurse | Agency Shifts | Up to $105/hr Weekday | Melbourne

Greenstaff Medical is seeking experienced Critical Care & ICU Nurses to join our dynamic team on a casual basis. This is an excellent opportunity to work flexible agency shifts across leading healthcare facilities in Melbourne, whilst earning competitive rates of up to $150 per hour. Based in South Melbourne, VIC 3205, this role offers the flexibility to balance your professional commitments with your personal life, working on shifts that suit your availability.

What you'll be doing

- Providing high-quality direct patient care in intensive care and critical care environments
- Monitoring and assessing patient vital signs, clinical status, and responses to treatment protocols
- Administering medications, wound care, and therapeutic interventions as prescribed
- Collaborating with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to develop and implement individualised care plans
- Maintaining comprehensive and accurate patient records and documentation
- Operating and troubleshooting specialised medical equipment and monitoring systems
- Supporting patients and their families through critical illness with compassionate communication
- Adhering to all infection control protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements
- Responding promptly to patient needs and clinical emergencies
- Contributing to a positive and supportive ward environment

What we're looking for

- Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA)
- Proven experience working in critical care, intensive care unit (ICU),



or acute care environments
- Strong clinical knowledge of critical care nursing principles and evidence-based practice
- Competency in monitoring and interpreting patient vital signs and clinical indicators
- Experience with medical devices and equipment commonly used in ICU and critical care settings
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with patients, families, and healthcare professionals
- Ability to work independently whilst functioning effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise multiple patients and complex care needs
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient safety and infection control
- Flexibility to work various shift patterns, including nights, weekends, and public holidays
- Current immunisations as required by employing organisations
- Working with Children Check and National Police Clearance (or willingness to obtain)
