Hotel Marvell is seeking a Guest Service Agent to join our team in a dynamic, multi-skilled role combining Front Office and Food & Beverage service .

About the role

As a Guest Service Agent, you will be responsible for delivering seamless guest experiences across both front desk operations and hands-on service .

This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and takes pride in delivering premium hospitality.

Key responsibilities

- Provide a warm, qualified welcome and manage guest check-in and check-out

- Handle guest enquiries, requests and issues with efficiency and care

- Process payments and manage POS/PMS systems accurately

- Maintain strong knowledge of hotel services and local Byron Bay recommendations

- Deliver Food & Beverage service, including:

- Table service in hotel dining and guest areas

- Coffee preparation and service (barista experience highly regarded)

- Alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage service





- Food and drink delivery with attention to detail and presentation

- Work closely with all departments to ensure a seamless guest experience

- Maintain presentation standards across lobby and public areas

About you

- Previous experience in hospitality, guest services, or a customer-facing role

- Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills

- A proactive, solutions-focused approach to guest service

- Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure

- Experience in Food & Beverage service (table service required)

- Barista experience highly regarded

- Current RSA (Responsible Service of Alcohol) — essential

- Experience with hotel systems (Opera Cloud highly regarded)

- Flexible availability including weekends and evenings

- Valid Australian working rights
