About the role

Multiworks Australia is seeking an experiencedTruck Driver / Yardman to join our growing team based out of our Brooklyn yard. This is an excellent opportunity to securepermanent, ongoing employment with a leading infrastructure contractor, supporting major projects across Melbourne, regional Victoria and interstate as required.

In this role, you will be responsible for the safe operation of company vehicles, transportation of equipment and materials and supporting both yard and project operations while maintaining the highest standards of safety, reliability and professionalism.

Key responsibilities

- Safely operating trucks in accordance with road regulations, company procedures and site requirements
- Managing workload priorities and responding to project and operational demands
- Operating a range of vehicles including hook trucks, tip trucks, truck and dog combinations, semi-trailers and floats
- Loading, unloading and transporting machinery, equipment and materials between project sites and yards
- Mobilising and demobilising plant and equipment to and from project locations
- Conducting pre-start inspections and maintaining vehicles and equipment in a safe and serviceable condition




- Assisting with general yard duties including housekeeping, maintenance and asset management
- Supporting project teams with site activities as required
- Maintaining compliance with safety standards, load restraint requirements and axle weight regulations
- Undertaking interstate travel when required to support operational needs

What we're looking for

- Minimum three years' experience in truck driving and transport operations
- Demonstrated experience operating hook trucks
- Experience transporting heavy machinery including excavators, rollers and dump trucks
- Robust understanding of load restraint requirements and axle weight compliance
- Forklift Licence and Construction Industry White Card
- Experience operating and working around heavy machinery, including excavators up to 30 tonnes
- Experience with Scania, Volvo and/or Isuzu trucks is highly regarded
- Previous experience operating semi-trailers, truck and dog combinations and floats is highly desirable
- Machinery tickets including excavator, roller, dump truck or forklift tickets are advantageous
- Strong commitment to workplace health, safety and environmental standards
- Reliable, adaptable and able to work effectively within a fast-paced team environment
- Willing to undergo a Medical and Police Check
