Adecco is proud to be partnering with one of Australia's largest combined manufacturing/import mattress suppliers who are looking for a Warehouse Supervisor to join their team. The ideal candidate will be energetic and proactive, physically fit, experienced in warehouse operations, and possess strong leadership skills. You will manage a small team, ensuring that tasks are completed efficiently while adhering to safety standards and best practices.

Responsibilities

- Team Management: Lead and supervisea small team of warehouse staff. Provide guidance, support, andtraining to ensure effective performance and adherence to procedures.
- Forklift Operation: Utilize forkliftequipment to handle and transport goods. A valid forklift license andprior experience is preferred.
- Mattress Handling: Overseethe handling and management of mattresses. Implement and enforceproper techniques and safety procedures for moving and storing mattresses.
- Safety & Compliance: Ensure thatall team members follow internal safety guidelines and best practices.Conduct regular safety checks and address any potential hazards.
- Warehouse Maintenance: Maintaina clean and organized warehouse environment.



Ensure that thearea is tidy, well-organized, and that all equipment is in valuable workingorder.
- Daily Readiness: Preparethe warehouse for daily operations, ensuring that all materialsand equipment are correctly put away at the end of each day.

Your Profile

- Physical Capability : Must be physically ableto handle the demands of the role, including lifting and moving heavyitems.
- Leadership: Proven ability tomarange and motivate a small team effectively.
- Forklift License: Valid forkliftlicense with demonstrated experience in operating forklift equipment.
- Self-Motivation: Strong work ethicwith the ability to manage your own time efficiently and not be reliant onconstant supervision.
- Attitude: Eager,forward-thinking, and possesses a “can-do” attitude with a proactiveapproach to problem-solving.
- Attention toDetail: Keen eye for maintaining a clean, orderly, andsafe working environment.

Preferred Qualifications

- Previousexperience in a warehouse or similar environment.
- Experience handlinglarge and bulky items, particularly mattresses.
