Vivid Route This position involves providing technical support across our construction projects, assisting with site inspections, surveying, and quality control, ensuring all work meets engineering specifications, safety regulations, and project requirements. Work sites may vary depending on project requirements.

The position may involve travel between different construction locations as directed by the employer.

Task & responsibilities

- Assisting engineers in preparing technical drawings, plans, and specifications for construction projects
- Conducting site inspections and surveys to monitor construction progress and compliance
- Reading and interpreting engineering drawings, blueprints, and design specifications
- Undertaking material and soil testing to check compliance with engineering standards
- Preparing reports on inspection findings, test results, and project progressAssisting with the preparation of cost estimates, schedules, and material quantities
- Using surveying and testing equipment safely and in accordance with procedures
- Liaising with engineers, contractors, and site personnel to resolve technical issues




- Ensuring all work is completed in line with project specifications and deadlines
- Following workplace health and safety procedures at all times

Qualification & experience

- At least 1 year of experience as a civil engineering technician or in a related role
- Diploma or Advanced Diploma in Civil Engineering (or related qualification) advantageous but not required
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Familiarity with surveying, testing, and quality control procedures
- Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship
- Physically fit and able to work in construction site conditions
- Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently or in a team
