Bar Supervisor

Red Lion Hotel – Kilmore

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

- Supervise daily bar operations and lead the bar team during service
- Ensure quick, friendly, and consistent customer service at all times
- Train, support, and mentor bar staff, including new starters
- Ensure Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) is strictly followed
- Open and close the bar in line with venue procedures when required
- Manage staff breaks and workflow during busy periods
- Handle customer enquiries and resolve complaints professionally
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, organisation, and presentation behind the bar
- Monitor stock levels, assist with ordering, and reduce wastage




- Operate POS systems, manage cash handling, and complete end-of-shift reconciliations
- Work closely with management and FOH supervisors to ensure smooth service
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and liquor licensing requirements
- Lead by example with professionalism, reliability, and a positive attitude

Skills & Requirements:

- Previous experience in a bar supervisory or senior bartender role
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Current RSA (RCG preferred if applicable)
- Ability to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays
- Calm under pressure in a fast-paced pub environment
- Strong attention to detail and customer-focused mindset
