About the Role:

We are seeking an Estimating Manager to lead and provide strategic, technical, and commercial leadership across the full project lifecycle. Responsible for overseeing project assessment, scoping, estimating, engineering, and successful handover to delivery teams while ensuring alignment with operational capabilities, commercial objectives, and client expectations.

Key Responsibilities:

- Lead and develop the Pre-Construction team, driving performance, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Establish pre-construction strategies, systems, and processes that support business growth and operational excellence.
- Oversee estimating, design coordination, project planning, and risk management to ensure accurate, competitive, and commercially sound project submissions.
- Partner with Sales, Business Development, clients, and stakeholders to develop winning solutions, provide technical guidance, and support commercial discussions.
- Lead tender and proposal activities, ensuring compliant,



high-quality submissions that accurately reflect scope, cost, programme, and delivery methodology.
- Drive value engineering, procurement planning, supplier engagement, and early-stage risk assessment to optimise project outcomes and delivery certainty.

About You:

- Extensive experience in pre-construction, estimating, project engineering, or project delivery within construction, infrastructure, civil, utilities, mining, or related industries.
- Proven leadership experience managing pre-construction, estimating, or engineering teams and delivering large-scale tenders and project estimates.
- Strong knowledge of project delivery models (D&C;, EPC, ECI, Construct Only), estimating, commercial management, procurement, project controls, and risk management.
- Ability to interpret engineering and contractual documentation, with a solid understanding of Australian construction standards, WHS requirements, and industry regulations.
- Strategic commercial mindset with excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
