The Opportunity
Cochlear is looking for a Manufacturing Data & Analytics Manager to lead the Manufacturing Insights team within Global Manufacturing Operational Excellence, delivering data, analytics, and visualisation capabilities that enable consistent, high-quality decision-making across Cochlear's global manufacturing network.
This is a hands-on leadership role combining data science, data visualisation, and people leadership, with a strong focus on delivery and capability uplift.
This is a permanent full-time role based in our global headquarters in Macquarie University.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the delivery of manufacturing data, analytics, and visualisation solutions, including standardised dashboards and reporting frameworks
- Translate business needs into scalable data products and actionable insights supporting operational performance and Continuous ImprovementDrive delivery of the Operational Excellence Strategy data and insights components aligned to business priorities
- Identify and implement improvements in data pipelines, analytics approaches, and visualisation practices
- Champion the value of data and insights across manufacturing stakeholders
- Enable adoption of self-service analytics and standardised data sources across global sites
- Apply and embed data governance, data quality, and data management practices within manufacturing
- Attract, develop, and retain the best team to deliver Cochlear's current and future business objectives
About You
- Experience developing business measures and metrics for descriptive, diagnostic and predictive analytics
- Experience with Sonar, Snowflake and TableauExperience in data science, analytics, or data engineering within complex environments
- Strong hands-on capability in data visualisation and data storytelling
- Experience delivering end-to-end analytics solutions (data → insight → visualisation)Demonstrated experience in building and leading a data analytics team.Experience applying data governance and data quality principles
- Ability to translate operational problems into data-driven insights
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
- Exposure to ERP transformations (e.g., S4/HANA environments) is ideal
- Lean Six Sigma or Operational Excellence exposure is preferred
