Across Greater Melbourne, our services support young people through mental health and wellbeing services, community outreach and pathways to education, training and employment, helping them build brighter futures.

We’re looking for a strategic, values-led and people-focused Head of Youth, Community & Outreach Services based out of our Glenroy HQ to lead our Youth Services teams across Melbourne.

This role is ideal for a senior leader who thrives in complex service environments, inspires high-performing teams, builds strong partnerships and delivers meaningful outcomes for young people and communities.

About the Role

As Head of Youth, Community & Outreach Services, you’ll provide strategic and operational leadership across Youth Projects' Youth, Community & Outreach portfolio, ensuring services remain impactful, sustainable and responsive to the needs of young people and communities.





You’ll lead and develop high-performing leaders and teams, ensuring services are safe, responsive, sustainable and focused on achieving meaningful outcomes for young people. Working closely with operational leaders, you’ll build capability, strengthen culture and foster an environment where people feel supported, empowered and accountable for delivering excellence.

You’ll play a key role in shaping the direction of services, translating strategy into action and driving innovation, continuous improvement and growth across the portfolio. Working alongside executive leaders, funders, government partners and community stakeholders, you’ll help identify new opportunities, strengthen service delivery and ensure programs continue to respond to the evolving needs of young people and communities.

This role would suit someone who thrives on developing people, leading through complexity and balancing strategic thinking with hands-on leadership.

Most importantly, you’ll help create opportunities for young people who have experienced disadvantage, ensuring they have access to the support, connections and pathways they need to thrive. Through strong leadership, innovation and partnership, you’ll contribute to services that create lasting impact for individuals, families and communities.

This role is equal parts strategic leader, people leader and change maker.
