Bendigo Greyhound Racing Association – Bendigo VIC

We are seeking a passionate and team orientated individual to join us at the Bendigo Greyhound Racing Association.

The role is full time minimum 38-hour week and will require attendance at race days including some evening and weekend work. You will be under the direction of the Head Curator undertaking general gardening and ground maintenance along with ensuring a consistent environment for all greyhounds irrespective of whether for trials or racing.

Key Responsibilities

- Track Preparation: Hands-on operation of heavy machinery (tractors, ride on mowers, etc) to prepare and maintain the racing surface, including watering, tilling, and profiling the track.
- Safety Standards: Involvement in the constant monitoring of track preparation to ensure the safety of all participants
- Facility Maintenance: General upkeep of the broader venue, including kennel areas, surrounding grounds,



and public/participant spaces.
- Compliance: Strict adherence to OHS regulations and official Tracks and Facilities Management Guidelines

The successful candidate would preferably have;

- Willingness to learn to develop and implement preventative maintenance strategies to bring about a proactive and preventative maintenance culture
- Experience with heavy machinery or gardening equipment would be an advantage
- Solid communicator, both verbal and written with excellent problem-solving skills
- Attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure to meet changing deadlines
