As we continue our international expansion, we are seeking an experienced Global Wholesale & Distribution Manager to lead our wholesale division and oversee both the commercial and operational success of our global wholesale business.
About the Role
This is a senior leadership position responsible for managing the entire wholesale operation, from developing international business opportunities and managing distributor relationships through to ensuring wholesale orders are coordinated, prioritised and dispatched efficiently.
You will work closely with our Managing Director, Production, Warehouse, Purchasing and Marketing teams to ensure our global wholesale customers receive exceptional service while driving continued international growth.
Key Responsibilities
Global Sales & Business Development
Develop and execute the company's global wholesale strategy.
Identify and secure new distributors, retailers and key accounts worldwide.
Negotiate commercial agreements and pricing.
Expand distribution into new international markets.
Represent the business at international trade shows and industry events.
Build and maintain strong relationships with distributors and major wholesale customers.
Conduct regular business reviews.
Analyse sales performance and identify growth opportunities.
Ensure distributors comply with pricing, branding and company standards.
Resolve commercial issues professionally and efficiently.
Wholesale Operations
Receive and manage wholesale purchase orders.
Review stock availability and delivery schedules.
Prioritise orders based on customer requirements and shipping deadlines.
Coordinate the warehouse team responsible for picking, packing and dangerous goods (DG) packing.
Ensure export documentation and freight bookings are completed accurately.
Monitor all wholesale orders through to dispatch.
Maintain proactive communication with customers regarding order status.
Leadership & Team Management
Lead and supervise the wholesale operations team.
Coordinate warehouse resources to meet wholesale demand.
Improve systems, workflows and operational efficiency.
Develop procedures and performance standards.
Work collaboratively with Production, Inventory, Purchasing, Customer Service and Marketing.
Planning & Forecasting
Forecast wholesale demand with distributors.
Assist production planning and inventory allocation.
Monitor stock availability for international customers.
Provide regular sales forecasts and performance reporting.
About You
To be successful in this role you will have:
Minimum 5 years' experience in wholesale, distribution, export or international sales management.
Strong experience managing distributor and wholesale customer relationships.
Proven ability to grow international sales.
Excellent leadership and people management skills.
Experience coordinating wholesale operations and order fulfilment.
Excellent organisational and time management skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced setting.
Experience with ERP systems (Acumatica experience is highly regarded).
Advanced Microsoft Office skills, particularly Excel.
Ability to travel internationally when required.
