KLN Cold Chain (Australia) Pty Ltd is seeking a skilled and reliable Warehouse Operator to join our team in the Western Suburbs of Melbourne, Victoria. This is a full-time position operating on the night shift. As a Warehouse Operator, you will play a crucial role in our cold chain logistics operations, ensuring efficient storage, retrieval and management of temperature-controlled goods. Your expertise with high reach forklift equipment will be essential to maintaining the smooth flow of inventory throughout our facility.
Key responsibilities
Operate high reach forklift equipment safely and efficiently to store and retrieve goods from elevated racking systems
Conduct pre-operation inspections and maintenance checks on forklift equipment to ensure compliance with safety standards
Load and unload goods from trucks, ensuring products are handled with care to maintain cold chain integrity
Organise and manage inventory within the warehouse, following established storage protocols and procedures
Maintain accurate records of stock movements and warehouse transactions using warehouse management systems
Perform cycle counts and assist with regular stocktakes to ensure inventory accuracy
Adhere to all health and safety regulations, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
Work collaboratively with team members to meet nightly operational targets and deadlines
Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to supervisory staff immediately
Maintain a clean, organised and safe working environment throughout the night shift
What we're looking for
Current and valid High Reach Forklift Licence (or equivalent certification recognised in Victoria)
Proven experience operating high reach forklifts in a warehouse or logistics environment
Demonstrated experience working in cold storage or temperature-controlled facilities
Strong understanding of warehouse safety procedures and commitment to maintaining a safe working environment
Ability to work independently and take responsibility for tasks during night shift operations
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in inventory management and record-keeping
Physical capability to perform manual handling tasks and work in cold storage environments
Reliability and punctuality, with a strong work ethic and positive attitude
Ability to communicate effectively with team members and supervisors
Basic computer literacy for warehouse management system navigation (preferred)
Previous experience in the cold chain or perishable goods logistics sector (preferred)
