The growth strategy is clear; the opportunity is significant and what is needed now is an experienced General Manager who can turn that vision into disciplined execution. It is an opportunity to take ownership of a growing multi-site business, strengthen its leadership capability and build the systems required for sustainable growth.

THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the owners, the General Manager will be accountable for the operational, commercial, financial, people and membership performance of the group. The position will lead a team that includes 2 Area Managers, a Brand and Marketing Manager, an outsourced finance function and club leadership across the network.

At any one time, the business may have 10 to 15 projects underway, ranging from new club openings and major refurbishments to technology implementation and operational improvement.



The General Manager will bring structure to that activity, establish clear checkpoints and ensure priorities are delivered without the owners needing to personally chase every detail.

- Driving membership growth, sales, retention and member experience
- Improving revenue, costs and EBITDA across the club network
- Establishing strong reporting and operating rhythms
- Leading current club openings, renovations and improvement projects
- Coaching and developing Area Managers and Club Managers
- Reviewing structure, remuneration and succession across the leadership team
- Strengthening accountability across HR, compliance and finance
- Translating the owners’ strategy into clear, executable priorities
- Building systems capable of supporting 15 clubs and beyond

ABOUT YOU

A genuine passion for fitness is non-negotiable. This is a business built on sales, retention, service and community, not simply memberships and machines. You will bring multi-site leadership experience, strong commercial instincts and proven capability across P&L;, project delivery and people leadership. Experience within fitness, health, leisure, hospitality or another membership-based business will be highly regarded.

You will not need to be the loudest person in the room. You will be the one who brings clarity, keeps multiple priorities on track and move from strategy to execution, challenge respectfully, make tough calls and hold people accountable.
