About the role
As our Contracts Team Lead, you'll provide day-to-day leadership to the Contracts team, balancing people leadership with operational oversight and technical expertise. You'll work closely with the Head of Legal, Compliance & Contracts to ensure the team consistently delivers an outstanding experience to our agents, clients and offices.
You'll be responsible for leading, coaching and developing the team while maintaining high service standards, overseeing workflow and acting as the technical escalation point for complex contract matters.
What you'll be doing
Lead and develop the team
- Coach, mentor and support a team of Contracts Coordinators
- Conduct regular one-on-one meetings and provide ongoing feedback
- Foster a collaborative, positive and accountable team culture
- Manage team performance, leave planning, rostering and timesheet approvals
- Support recruitment, onboarding and induction of current team members
- Build strong relationships with Principals, Sales Directors and Office Leaders across the business
Drive operational excellence
- Oversee daily workflow, workload allocation and service delivery
- Monitor service levels and proactively resolve operational issues
- Manage contract-related escalations and provide technical guidance
- Identify opportunities to improve processes, systems and efficiency
- Maintain Contracts policies, procedures and best practice documentation
- Support portfolio management and provide leave cover when required
Build capability
- Develop the technical capability of the Contracts team
- Deliver onboarding, compliance and contracts training
- Create practical learning resources and training materials
- Provide guidance to agents and support teams on compliance and contract processes
- Champion continuous improvement across systems, processes and ways of working
About you
You’ll bring extensive conveyancing experience together with a genuine passion for leading people.
You’ll also have:
- Strong residential conveyancing experience, ideally within Queensland real estate
- Previous experience leading or mentoring a team
- Exceptional knowledge of contracts, compliance and settlement processes
- The ability to confidently manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
- High attention to detail and strong organisational skills
- Confidence working across multiple systems and technology platforms
