Xeople is a workforce technology company delivering two integrated platforms: Entire OnHire (EOH), a .NET-based end-to-end workforce management platform for the on-hire and staffing industry, and Xeople Recruit (XR), a modern microservices-based recruitment and applicant tracking SaaS product built on AWS.
We are hiring a Full Stack .NET and SQL Developer, based in Seaford, VIC on a hybrid basis (3 days per week from the office), to strengthen our engineering capability with an onshore presence working in close, real-time partnership with our India-based engineering team. This role covers both ongoing product maintenance and new feature/R&D; development across the EOH and XR platforms, and works day-to-day alongside our offshore team of developers and QA engineers to keep delivery moving across time zones.
The role provides mid-senior, onshore technical capability that bridges Xeople's Australian product and leadership team with the India-based engineering organisation - supporting timezone coverage, architectural continuity, and faster decision-making. Immediate start is preferred.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, test, and maintain full stack features across Xeople's EOH and XR platforms — covering both day-to-day product maintenance (defect fixes, performance and stability improvements) and new feature / R&D; development.
- Write clean, well-tested, maintainable code across the front end (React/Angular) and back end (C#/.NET), following established coding standards and design patterns.
- Design, build, and optimise database schemas, stored procedures, and queries (SQL Server and PostgreSQL) to support application performance, data integrity, and reporting needs.
- Build, integrate, and consume RESTful APIs, working with API gateway patterns and third-party/internal service integrations as required.
- Own delivery, alongside the offshore (India-based) team of developers and QA engineers, across both product maintenance and new R&D; workstreams — providing day-to-day technical direction, coordinating priorities,
and ensuring consistent delivery quality across time zones.
- Participate actively in code reviews, technical design discussions, and knowledge-sharing across the wider engineering team.
- Diagnose and resolve production issues through proper root cause analysis rather than surface-level fixes.
- Contribute to sprint planning, estimation, and delivery tracking within an Agile/Scrum environment.
- Document technical designs, decisions, and processes clearly to support team continuity, handover, and onboarding.
- Support the onboarding and technical ramp-up of new team members, both onshore and offshore, as the engineering team scales.
Required Skills & Experience
- 5-7 years of professional full stack development experience, with strong proficiency in C# / .NET (Framework and/or Core) and SQL.
- Strong experience with relational databases — SQL Server and PostgreSQL — writing efficient queries, stored procedures, and understanding schema design.
- Experience with RESTful API design and development; exposure to API gateway concepts (WSO2, Kong, Apigee, or similar) is highly regarded.
- Familiarity with containerisation concepts (Docker, Kubernetes) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum delivery environments with sprint-based delivery cycles.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently on well-defined scope while escalating ambiguity early.
- Workforce management, HR technology, payroll, or staffing/recruitment software domain experience is preferable.
Technical Proficiency Requirements
- .NET Core Services / API - Essential
- React - Important
- SQL Server - Important
- ML.NET or Python - Desirable
Preferred Experience
- Prior experience in workforce management, staffing/recruitment technology, HR/payroll systems, or other regulated/compliance-heavy SaaS domains.
- Experience working within a distributed delivery model alongside an offshore engineering team (India-based).
- Experience with ML.NET or integrating .NET applications with external ML/AI services and APIs.
- Understanding of how to structure and pass data between traditional application layers and AI/ML inference services.
- Familiarity with email parsing, natural language processing concepts, or workflow automation systems is a plus.
Engagement Terms
- This is a full-time, permanent position with Entire Software Pty Ltd (Australia), governed by an Australian employment contract and subject to the Fair Work Act 2009 (Cth) and National Employment Standards.
- Standard Australian entitlements apply: annual leave, personal/carer's leave, and other NES minimums; probation period per standard employment terms.
- Superannuation Guarantee contributions at the current statutory rate (12%), paid in line with Payday Super requirements.
- Hybrid role based in Seaford, VIC — 3 days per week in-office, remainder remote.
What Success Looks Like
- Reliable, well-tested code delivered against sprint commitments with minimal rework, across both maintenance and new development work.
- Smooth day-to-day coordination with the offshore development and QA team — clear priorities, consistent quality, and issues caught before reaching production.
- Proactive communication of blockers, risks, and technical trade-offs to Xeople's engineering leadership.
- A healthy balance maintained between keeping existing product functionality stable and progressing current feature/R&D; work across both platforms.
- Establishment of a strong onshore technical presence that improves delivery velocity and decision speed across the AU/India engineering split.
