About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Crew Leader to join our Metering & Services team based in Port Melbourne on a fixed-term contract.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled Lineworker to step into a leadership position where you'll oversee field operations, support crews in delivering high quality work, and contribute to the safe and efficient delivery of projects. Working closely with Project Managers and operational teams, you'll play a key role in coordinating resources, supporting field personnel and ensuring works are completed safely, on time and to a high standard.

Your Role & Key Responsibilities

Lead by example and promote a strong safety first culture across all activities.

Provide day to day leadership, mentoring and support to field based crews.

Coordinate the ordering, receipt and organisation of materials and resources.

Assist with the planning, scheduling and scoping of works.

Support the verification and approval of purchase orders, invoices and timesheets.

Monitor plant and equipment servicing, testing and compliance requirements.

Conduct field audits, inspections and hazard observations.

Assist with managing operational changes and workforce requirements.

Provide practical support to crews and respond to operational issues as required.

Work collaboratively with Project Managers and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.

What you will need

Certificate III in ESI – Power Systems (Distribution Overhead) or Australian equivalent (essential).

Demonstrated experience working within the electricity Metering industry.

Previous experience leading crews or supervising field based teams.

A strong commitment to safety leadership and compliance.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Strong planning, coordination and organisational abilities.

The ability to build positive working relationships with team members and stakeholders.

Sound problem solving skills and a proactive approach to managing day to day operations.
