Benique Support Services is a family owned and operated business providing support to NDIS participants.

We pride ourselves on providing personalised support for each of our clients, matching the right worker with the right client and the owners interacting directly with staff and clients, which makes us different from the big companies. We also provide our employees with sufficient training and support from experienced staff to ensure they understand the needs and requirements of each client they work with.

We are currently seeking Disability Support Workers on a casual employment basis to support our clients in the Mackay area.

The Role

Provide support to NDIS participants which may include clients with complex needs and challenging behaviors.

Assist clients with day-to-day activities which may include personal hygiene, cleaning, assistance with medication, meal preparation.

Support clients to access the community and participate in social and recreational activities.

Complete all required documentation and reporting as required.

Morning (commencing at 6:00am), afternoon, night, weekend and sleepover shifts available.

Flexible working arrangements with rosters prepared for a four-week period.

Paid training and introduction to clients via buddy shifts with experienced support staff.





Hourly weekday rate of $45.28 with relevant shift loadings in accordance with the industry award.

About You

Enthusiastic with a passion to support people with disabilities to improve their quality of life.

Positive communication skills both written and oral.

Team player who will assist other employees to provide a team approach to client support.

Good problem-solving skills and ability to deal with complex issues.

Good time management skills and ability to work under pressure.

Physically capable to ensure the safety and support of clients.

Flexible availability with no limitations on your ability to work morning, afternoon, night, weekend or sleepover shifts will be an advantage.

Requirements

Qualification in disability studies or similar qualification is preferred but not essential.

Previous experience in disability support or similar is essential.

Current First Aid and CPR certificates.

NDIS Worker Screening Check (Yellow Card).

QLD Working with Children Check (Blue Card).

A police check issued within the last 12 months.

A reliable, roadworthy, registered, and insured motor vehicle.
