Our client, an independent Australian Government agency supporting people with permanent and significant disability, is seeking an experienced Finance Data Analyst.

Duties of the Finance Data Analyst

- Sourcing, transforming and interpreting data into actionable metrics and insights;
- Producing a suite of reports, interpreting data, and analysing results using standard and complex statistical techniques;
- Managing business and technical reporting including requirements, design, testing, training, and rollout;
- Articulating complex information into simple messaging that can be utilised by key stakeholders with wide-ranging levels of data literacy;
- Delivering the Agency’s continuous improvement initiative, automating reporting, utilising the information in the data warehouse;
- Writing various types of documentation, such as operational procedures, manuals, job aids, forms, and reference guides.

Skills and Experience Required





- Demonstrated proficiency in SAS (Enterprise Guide, VIYA and Visual Analytics);
- Working knowledge of SAP, including the Public Sector Collections & Disbursements module (highly desirable);
- Previous experience working within the Federal Government;
- Advanced SQL programming skills;
- Strong capability using Business Intelligence tools, including Power BI, Tableau, Business Objects, or equivalent (highly desirable);
- Knowledge of Git, Bitbucket and SourceTree (desirable);
- Exposure to Snowflake (highly desirable);
