About Isis Central Sugar Mill

Today, the organisation is entering an exciting new phase. Under a renewed executive team, Isis is strengthening its leadership capability, modernising systems and processes, and evolving its operating model to support long-term sustainability, improved collaboration and future growth. This includes enhancing corporate services, investing in new business systems and technology, and creating stronger partnerships between support functions and the broader business.

As part of this evolution, Isis is seeking an Head of ICT to join its Corporate Services team based in Childers. This newly created position offers the opportunity to shape the future of the organisation's technology capability while helping position technology as a trusted business partner across the organisation.

About the role

Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer, the Head of ICT will play an important role in the continued development of the organisation's technology capability.

You’ll lead a small team of four while working closely with leaders across the business to ensure technology supports operational outcomes, enables better decision making and delivers practical value to the organisation.

This is far more than a traditional ICT management role. As Isis continues to strengthen its systems, processes and corporate services capability, you’ll partner with stakeholders across the business to improve technology governance, strengthen cyber security, support the implementation of new business systems and identify practical technology solutions that enhance efficiency, collaboration and organisational performance.

Working closely with the CFO and leaders across the organisation,



you’ll help shape a technology function that is increasingly focused on business partnering, continuous improvement and enabling better business outcomes through fit-for-purpose technology, sound governance and strong stakeholder engagement.

You’ll also provide leadership and mentoring to a capable team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability and customer-focused service while supporting the ongoing evolution of the organisation's technology environment.

Key responsibilities include:

- Leading, mentoring and developing the technology team.
- Building strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation.
- Strengthening cyber security, governance and technology risk management.
- Supporting the implementation of new business systems and technology initiatives.
- Identifying practical technology solutions that improve operational efficiency.
- Partnering with leaders across the business to align technology with organisational priorities.
- Contributing to broader organisational improvement and Corporate Services initiatives.

About you

You are an experienced technology professional with strong leadership capability and a genuine desire to use technology to improve how organisations operate.

This opportunity is likely to appeal to an emerging technology leader looking to take the next step in their career. You may currently be an ICT Team Leader, Infrastructure Lead, Applications Lead, Technology Business Partner,



Digital Services Lead or another experienced technology professional ready to step into a broader management role. You may also be leading technology within a smaller organisation and looking for greater organisational exposure and the opportunity to influence business improvement initiatives.

Beyond your technical capability, you’re collaborative, commercially minded and naturally curious. You enjoy building relationships, developing people and partnering with stakeholders to identify practical technology solutions that deliver real business value.

You’re comfortable operating in a changing setting and motivated by the opportunity to help shape how technology supports the organisation into the future.

Experience within manufacturing, industrial, utilities, local government or other operational environments will be well regarded. Exposure to operational technology (OT), cyber security, business systems or technology-enabled transformation initiatives will also be viewed favourably. Most importantly, you’ll bring sound judgement, a practical mindset and a genuine passion for partnering with the business to achieve better outcomes.
