The Role:

We have an opportunity for aDirector-level Defence professional to join our Canberra team and play a key role in growing and delivering our Joint Air and Land consulting capability. We are open to both engineering and project management professionals at Director level, withappropriate qualificationsanda track recordof leading mixed-discipline teams. This role will suit an experienced Defence Engineer or Project Manager who combines strong domainexpertisewith the ability to lead teams, build trusted client relationships, andidentifyopportunities to deliver meaningful outcomes for Defence.

In this role you willbe responsible for:

- Leading the delivery of complex Joint, Air and Land Defence consulting engagements andprovidingtrusted advice to senior stakeholders
- Building andmaintainingstrong relationships across Defence communities, influencing decisionmakersand supporting capability outcomes
- Identifyingnew opportunities,leveragingDefencenetworksand supporting business development activities to grow Coras’ Defence footprint




- Leading,mentoringand developing a small team of consultants to deliver high-quality outcomes and build capability

Our Ideal Candidate:

You are a respected Defence professional who understands the complexities of delivering capability outcomes across Joint, Air and Land environments. You enjoy solving complex problems, building trustedrelationshipsand working collaboratively with clients and teams to deliver meaningful results.

You bring a collegiate leadership style, with the ability to balance client delivery, teamdevelopmentand business growth. You are comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders, influencing outcomes and representing Coras as a trusted Defence partner.

You will bring:

- Significant experiencedelivering capabilityoutcomes within Defence Joint, Air and/or Land environmentsusing your Engineering or Project Management skills
- Strong understanding of the Defence capability lifecycle andtheDefence Capability System (DCS)
- Experienceoperatingas an experienced practitioner aligned to DSS Level 3 expectations
- Established relationships across Joint, Air and/or Land Defence communities, with the ability to influence senior stakeholders
- Strong consulting capability,



including stakeholder engagement, clientmanagementand delivery of outcomes
- Experienceidentifyingand pursuing business opportunities through trusted client relationships
- Excellent communication, relationship-building and problem-solving skills
- Relevant engineering, project management, capabilitymanagementor Defence qualificationsare also desirable

As we are a Defence consultancy, you must alsohave the ability toobtain andmaintainan AGSVA security clearance, ideally at the NV1 level or higher.
