Sustainable Packaging Tasmania Pty Ltd trades as Compak Tassie. We source and distribute a large range of packaging and back of house supplies for the hospitality industry including things like coffee cups, takeaway containers, napkins, washroom supplies and cleaning chemicals.

As Tasmania's fastest growing packaging distributor, it is essential that our warehouse procedures continue to develop and provide the safe and efficient operations our ongoing growth requires.

The complexity around our high number of SKU's, frequency of picks, and large customer base, also dictates that our operations are performed accurately on a consistent basis.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated Warehouse Manager to help support this growth and help establish and maintain valuable warehouse practices and procedures.

You will lead a small team co-ordinating the successful storage, pick, pack and delivery operations of our business.

Key Responsibilities

- Further develop and improve warehouse efficiency, procedures and safe work practices
- Lead and co-ordinate a small team of warehouse staff and delivery drivers
- Efficiently and accurately perform warehouse operations for stock receipt, put away, pick, pack and load out




- Maintain inventory control through accurate stock transaction processing and cycle counts
- Communicate with customers on issues to do with orders, delivery and returns
- Assist in planning daily delivery routes and schedules

About You

- Safety awareness for self, team and operations
- Highly organised and disciplined with great attention to detail
- Understand what good warehouse processes look like and help implement across the team
- Can work independently while supporting a collaborative team
- Ability to navigate and calmly resolve daily operational issues
- Communicate well and effectively with team members and customers
- Adaptable
- Have full working rights in Australia

Qualifications & Experience

The main qualification we are seeking is someone who has a good understanding of warehouse operations and practical experience across all elements of this.

Other things that would be highly regarded are:

- Forklift and or truck license
- First aid and or safety qualifications
- Exposure to packaging and the hospitality industry.
- Experience across IT platforms and applications.
