Your Journey Therapy is seeking a passionate and dedicated Developmental Educator to work with NDIS participants in an allied health clinic setting. If you are looking to try something new, work outside the box, and make a meaningful impact in the lives of children, we want to hear from you!
Location and Employment
- Locations: In-clinic, at home, in kindergartens, childcare centers, and schools
- Employment Type: Full-time, part-time, or casual options available
- Starting Salary: $100,000.00 + company car (dependent on years of experience)
- Contractor Rate: $80.00 per client/hour
Key Responsibilities
- Provide Speech Therapy and Occupational Therapy interventions to children, teenagers, and adults.
- Run sessions independently as a Developmental Educator while also collaborating with Speech and OT clients under the direction of qualified health professionals (Occupational Therapist/Speech Pathologist) with regular supervision.
- Complete client notes after each session to ensure accurate documentation and continuity of care.
- Travel is required as sessions take place in the clinic, at schools/kindergartens, and in clients’ homes.
- Build rapport, trust, and a strong working relationship with clients and their caregivers.
- Set up and pack up sessions, including making and organizing resources.
- Liaise with parents and collaborate with other allied health professionals and team members.
Required Qualifications
- Valid Driver's License
- Working with Children Check (WWCC)
- Police Check
- NDIS Worker Screening
- Fully Qualified Teacher
- Hold a VIT (Victorian Institute of Teaching) Registration
- Experience working with children with neurodiverse conditions and disabilities
