- 7:00AM to 3:06PM | part-time position available | Term TimeOnly

About the role:
Play a vital role in supporting young people with their learning,build resilience and achieve positive personal outcomes. Workingclosely with teachers and the wider support team, you will provideday-to-day learning and wellbeing support for students,particularly those experiencing complex or challengingcircumstances.
This position supports the Primary School and is Term Time Only,requiring availability 76 hours per fortnight between 7:00AM and3:06PM.
Your day-to-day will involve:
- Build strong, trusting relationships with students,providing consistent wellbeing and learning support
- Support classroom engagement by helping students remainfocused, regulated and on task
- Calmly de-escalate challenging behaviours usingtrauma-informed and therapeutic approaches
- Supervise students during breaks, activities, excursionsand transport duties, ensuring safety and wellbeing
- Support student attendance by safely transporting studentsto and from school each day
About you:
You are a compassionate and grounded youth worker who genuinelyenjoys supporting young people to reach their potential. You bringpatience, emotional intelligence and a calm presence, even inchallenging situations. You understand the importance ofconsistency, boundaries and unconditional positive regard whenworking with young people who may have experienced trauma.
You work well as part of a team, communicate clearly with staffand families,
and are comfortable balancing hands-on studentsupport with required documentation and reporting. Mostimportantly, you are aligned with and respectful of Carinity's Christian ethos and values, and you bring those values to lifethrough your everyday actions.
- Certificate III or higher in Youth Work, Education Support,Teacher Aide or a related discipline
- Demonstrated experience in providing support tomarginalised young people
- Ability to relate to youth from different backgrounds tobuild positive, professional relationships
- A current Blue Card (Working with Children Check)
