Civil Construction Labourers – Trenchless Projects

About the Role
Bothar is looking for civil construction labourers to join our NSW site teams on trenchless infrastructure projects across Sydney and regional NSW. You’ll assist with tunnelling operations, shaft construction, site establishment, materials handling and specialised trenchless equipment.
Experienced, ticketed workers are strongly encouraged to apply and will be recognised with higher rates of pay. If you’re looking to build a career in civil construction and are reliable, safety-focused and physically capable, we would also like to hear from you. You’ll work alongside experienced crews on specialised underground infrastructure projects using equipment and construction methods not commonly found elsewhere in the civil industry.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting trenchless construction crews
- Installing and removing site equipment
- Manual handling of materials and tools
- Spotting plant and machinery
- Maintaining a safe and tidy worksite
- Following SWMS and safety procedures
About Us
Bothar is a specialist contractor in the Australian trenchless construction industry.
We deliver complex underground infrastructure projects including microtunnelling, shaft construction and pipe jacking across metropolitan and regional Australia. As our NSW workload continues to grow, we’re building a solid local workforce to support upcoming projects across the state.
This Role Offers
- $31 - $40 per hour casual rates, with rates based on your skills, experience and licences
- Ongoing work across a strong NSW project pipeline

- Opportunities to move into permanent employment, subject to performance and project requirements
What You Need
- Full Australian working rights
- Ability to pass a pre-employment medical including drug and alcohol testing
- Reliable, safety-focused and physically capable for construction work
- Previous civil construction experience is desirable but not essential

- Slewing Crane
- Additional civil construction licences, tickets and relevant experience will also be highly regarded
Location
Most of our work is across metropolitan Sydney, with occasional projects in regional NSW and interstate.
Our NSW yard is based in St Marys.
