We are a client-centred organisation, supporting the community throughout Barwon, Wimmera, and the South West regions, offering a range of specialist support services to people impacted by sexual and family violence, encompassing 24 hour crisis care, specialist response services, early intervention programs, Victims Assistance Program, Community Legal Services, trauma recovery programs, professional training and primary prevention initiatives.

About The Role

The primary role of the Case Support Worker is to undertake a range of tasks that directly supportthe Case Management teams and the organisation in delivering high-quality, client centred supportto adult and child victim-survivors of family violence. This includes maintaining accurate clientrecords, coordinating referrals, managing correspondence, and assisting with data and reporting.The Case Support Worker plays a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness ofservice delivery by streamlining administrative processes, helping to build a comprehensive pictureof client circumstances, and enabling Case Managers to focus on direct client support. The CaseSupport Worker acts as a key point of coordination within the team, liaising with internal andexternal stakeholders to facilitate timely access to support and resources for clients.

Essential Qualifications and Experience

Your application must address the following:

Essential Skills and Knowledge

- A foundational understanding of the drivers, dynamics and impacts of family violence.




- The ability to manage competing priorities in a busy team environment while maintainingattention to detail and accuracy
- Robust organisational and administrative skills, including proficiency in record-keeping, dataentry, and document preparation
- Effective communication skills to liaise with internal teams and external stakeholdersprofessionally and sensitively
- Demonstrated capacity or ability to quickly learn and work with a range of databases, casemanagement systems, and Microsoft Office applications
- Knowledge of the SHIP database is desirable but not required

Period of Appointment

This position is fixed term, subject to funding until fixed 30 June 2027.

Hours of work

The position is full time fixed term (1.0FTE)

Location of the position is in Southwest Victoria (primarily Warrnambool)

The Hours/ days are based on the needs of the service and roster includes sleepovers, weekdays, weekends and public holidays/ Hours will usually be worked during business hours of 9.00am to 5.06 pm between Monday to Friday

Flexibility in working hours will be required from time to time as the need arises.

Salary and Conditions

Annual salary range is as a Specialist Family Violence Practitioner classification, Level 3 Pay Point1-4 annually (pro rata for part time). Salary will be commensurate with experience and skills.

Industrial Instrument: The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre Enterprise Agreement 2023.

Salary Packaging: Provided via Maxxia. PBI status with other expenses available to package above this cap. The Sexual Assault & Family Violence Centre is a Public Benevolent Institution.

Superannuation: The employer will also make superannuation payments on your behalf in accordance with theSuperannuation Guarantee (Administration) Act 1992.

Probationary Period – 6 months with a review conducted during this time.
