Cover Letter Requirement

Please include a short cover letter with your application (maximum 1 page) that briefly answers the following questions:

- What inspired you to apply for a Support Worker role with Beyond The Spectrum?
- What experience do you have supporting people with Complex Care needs (such as seizure management, PEG feeding, or tracheostomy care)?
- How do you ensure professional boundaries and participant dignity in your work?
- Describe a time you supported someone through a challenging or high-stress situation — what did you do, and what was the outcome?
- How do you stay reliable and consistent when working across a variety of shifts (including sleepovers, weekends, and public holidays)?
- What do you value most about working in the disability sector?
- Are you currently fully available for all shifts, or are there any limitations we should be aware of?
- Do you hold (or are you willing to obtain) all required checks and certifications — Blue Card, NDIS Worker Screening, First Aid, and CPR?

Tip for Applicants

Your cover letter doesn’t need to be long — just honest, thoughtful, and reflective of who you are.
We’re looking for people with heart, integrity, and a willingness to learn, not just experience.
