As our Queensland business continues to grow, we are seeking a hands-on Production Estimating Manager who can lead the day-to-day performance of the team while identifying practical improvements that strengthen accuracy, improve workflow and support better commercial outcomes across our QLD operations.

Based in our Ascot Vale office, this role will support our Queensland operations and work closely with the Queensland leadership team, providing strategic direction, technical expertise and people leadership to ensure the successful delivery of the Production Estimating function.

Reporting to the QLD Operations Manager, you will oversee the Production Estimating team responsible for our Queensland business. You will ensure the timely and accurate preparation of production estimates, purchase orders and construction documentation, while building disciplined processes, strong controls and practical reporting.

This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who combines robust technical estimating knowledge with discipline, commercial awareness and a genuine drive to improve how work gets done. The successful candidate will deliver consistently day in, day out, while challenging existing processes, improving controls and helping the department make better use of technology, data and systems.

Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor and develop the Queensland Production Estimating team, fostering accountability, capability and a high-performance culture.

Own the accuracy, timeliness and quality of production estimates, bills of quantities, purchase orders and construction documentation.

Drive process discipline, workflow improvement, internal controls and practical reporting across the Production Estimating function.

Support the construction team by resolving estimating-related queries,



ETS items and site issues in a timely and practical manner.

Identify root causes of recurring errors or issues and implement solutions that improve accuracy, reduce rework and strengthen commercial outcomes.

Collaborate closely with Procurement, Construction, Drafting, Pre-Site and the Queensland leadership team to deliver seamless project outcomes.

Maintain strong technical knowledge across plans, contracts, variations, NCC requirements, Australian Standards and residential building practices.

Use data, systems and reporting to monitor workload, improve team performance and support better decision-making.

Manage competing priorities while maintaining high standards of quality, accuracy and delivery.

Skills, Knowledge and Experience

Strong residential construction knowledge, particularly across detached housing.

Sound understanding of the NCC, Australian Standards and relevant building practices.

Well-developed estimating, analytical and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated leadership capability, including the ability to coach, guide and support team members.

Strong relationship-building skills and the ability to work collaboratively with diverse internal and external stakeholders.

Professional communication skills, including the ability to manage difficult conversations and resolve issues constructively.

Excellent time management skills, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.

High attention to detail and accuracy.

Intermediate computer literacy, including Microsoft Office Suite and relevant business systems such as CRM or estimating software.
